How to make a perfect coffee

This time we bring you the best ways and tips so you can make a perfect coffee by yourself.
Coffee is an ancient beverage that has managed to maintain itself as one of the infusions that cause great pleasure due to its aroma, flavor, and vitality. There are as many tricks to make coffee as people, and it is difficult to get two equal coffee machines. Every person likes to drink it in a specific way: espresso, short, long, with milk or black. This time, we bring you the best tips so you can make a perfect brew by yourself.

Get good ingredients

The first step is to choose the right water. It is the base of the infusion and should be the best possible quality; lousy water can spoil any preparation. Choose mineral water as much as possible, or at least not hard water. It must not present strange odors; it must be completely transparent and better of weak mineralization. In manual processes, it is recommended to drain the water just before boiling.

Coffee beans represent the second step. They are a delicate issue because they begin to lose properties the more processed they are. That is why it is convenient to buy coffee beans to grind at home, either with an automatic coffee machine or with a grinder: if it's manual, much better, although using a good electric grinder will always be better than buying ground coffee. They should also be well preserved; never buy coffee that has been exposed to air or light, because although it has not been ground, external agents also affect its quality.

Water-coffee ratio

Here depends a little on the particular tastes, but it is not a proportion that should be left to chance. The amount of coffee for each infusion is equally essential. If the portion of water is high, the drink will be lighter, with less body and aroma. To taste a soft beverage, one tablespoon of coffee (7 grams) per well of water (100 milliliters) should be used. If you prefer it a stronger, a little more of coffee should be used. The proportion will depend on each palate to discover the exact amount.

On time!

The maximum freshness is also essential at the time of tasting the drink. Without burning us, of course, but always freshly made. At the moment when it cools, we will not be able to appreciate the coffee at its maximum point. There is an exception to this rule: when we prepare cold or iced coffee.

As important as the temperature of infusion is the service, as it happens with food. It is advisable to prepare only what is going to be taken since coffee that is either rested or reheated loses its properties, let alone its flavor. If it is necessary to keep it for a few moments, it will be better in a thermos.

One last tip…

Keep the coffee in a tightly closed container and store it in a cool, dry place. Do not fall into excessive obsessions; the important thing is to enjoy. And you? How do you drink coffee? Do you have a particular trick or custom when it comes to preparing your coffee? We hope that these tips will help you with your coffee routine so that you can finally brew that perfect coffee that you deserve from the comfort of your home.

Things You Can Dunk in Your Coffee

There are foods that were born just to stay in the coffee cup.
It’s not a secret that anybody has soaked something in their coffee. Don't be ashamed. Some people believe that that's a cuisine sin because it's an unfashionable thing to do. But the truth is that is an undeniable guilty pleasure. How to resist the tempt?

Well, here at Coffland Corp, you simply don't! On today's blog, we will bring you some tips to dunk things in your coffee without regretting! Keep reading and find out which food is best to combine it with your drink, to taste the goodness of life.

Biscuits
This dessert is unquestionable. The softness of the biscuit soaked in coffee is one of the best sensations on the planet. Just imagine how the cake enters your cup and absorbs the acidity of the drink, dripping. If the biscuit has added flavors like orange or chocolate, the explosion of flavors is infinite. How can you not turn on the oven to bake some biscuits after reading this?

Cookies
Probably a classic winter pleasure with chocolate milk. But why not try it with coffee? It sounds as delicious as you think! The saddest part? Your dessert can fall apart and stay at the bottom of the cup. It's not a very lovely result, but some people fear nothing.

Donut
The old but reliable combination. Donut and coffee were born to meet, and the proof is the extensive examples of pop culture characters and scenes. In a classic Hollywood police station, more than one officer holds a hot espresso and a cute donut. Then why do you disobey the law?

Almond Horn
Yes, an almond horn is harder enough to resist the coffee heat. But that doesn't mean it won't be softened by the marvelous drink. This dessert is perfect if you want to enjoy your coffee differently. Most almond horns have sprinkled sugar, cinnamon or other spices that obviously stay in the drink once you soak the food.

Sweet bread
Similar to biscuit, the fluffy properties of bread absorb the coffee. If the bread has an extra sprinkled sugar or tiny fruits, it will be a unique experience. Our advice: Just don't put butter, jam, ham or cheese before dunking in the drink. Just don't.

Here at Coffland Corp, we love coffee as much as you. If you're more like the ones who prefer a more elaborated coffee pleasure, our website is full of recipes and tips to take advantage of our favorite beverage. Keep reading our blog!
Although it's considered a bad habit, it's one of the most delicious ways to enjoy your mug!

Meet the Most Famous Coffee Drink at Germany

A German coffee legacy passes right to you!
Coffee drinks have the flavor and aroma according to the preparation of the country it’s served. For example, while Colombian and Venezuelan people prefer a dense body and intense flavor without disturbing the natural taste of coffee. In Asia, the mixing of unusual ingredients create the craziest coffee experiences, like the Yuanyuang (made with Hong Kong tea) or Aam Panna (an Indian beverage made from raw mango).

Here at Coffland Corp, we encourage the coffee diversity. That's why we look for the most particular histories of our favorite drink. In today's post, we will travel to the fields close to Valhalla, the paradise of germanic coffee. Keep reading and pack your mug!

“Ihr Pharisaer”: the story behind the glass cup
Back in 1872, in Germany, the royalty was an open buyer of alcohol, coffee, and other beverages.

Gustav Beyer, a well-known pastor, was a public figure that recriminated the consume of liqueur because, according to his word, it woke up the demons inside the human soul. Because of that, people started to hide their guilty pleasure by mixing the strong flavor of alcohol with other dense ingredients while they were in front of him.

One day, Beyer was the host of a popular baptism. Because alcoholic beverages were not allowed at religious events, an anonymous drinker mixed his rum glass with fresh coffee and whipped cream. However, Beyer noted the aroma and demanded to taste the drink. His words? “Ihr Pharisaer!” (oh, you, Pharisees!)

After that, this beverage wins popularity around the country until it was named a traditional beverage.

Prepare the Kaiser for German coffee!
It's not hard to prepare a Der Pharisaer, the only things you'll need is dark rum (as you like it, to Germans, there is never enough liqueur!), one strong coffee cup, half cup of whipped cream and sugar.

First, choose a large, extended cup, where the cream doesn't collapse. Add the coffee and the sugar (if it's necessary), then add the rum.  Mix it well and put the creamy touch until reaches the edge of the cup.

Here at Coffland Corp, we love coffee in all its presentations. Now that you know more about the Der Pharisaer, your palates will enjoy the best Nordic coffee beverage. Share your experience with us in our social media accounts!
This drink is part of the German people's culture, and now you can taste it!

Which Coffee Mug Is Perfect for You?

Your cup of coffee can make a difference in your drink.
Whenever you like drinking coffee, the experience is not always the same. Two espressos aren't the same drink even if they're served at the same time. But have you ever wonder why? What's that extra factor that we are missing?

Most of you won't believe it, but the type of mug you choose makes a difference! Here at Coffland Corp, we made an experiment by drinking coffee on the most common mugs that we found in our office and general market. The results will blow your mind! Wanna know more? Just keep reading.

Coffee mugs: you are what you choose

Coffee is a versatile drink that adapts itself to the environment. For example, if you pack the beans inappropriately, its natural flavor will be reduced. So, while you're serving, the recipient will also influence the tastiness of your beverage.

According to our barista and tasters, porcelain is the best material for coffee, because it helps to preserve the aroma and the taste, longer than any other. Other cups made of cardboard, clay, or plastic, generate aromas and, thereby, it creates a loss of the natural properties of the drink.

Also, porcelain mugs are recommended for coffee beverages with cream or with more condensed bodies like espresso, cappuccino or mocha.

Another type of mug that is very popular is the one made of glass. Even though it's more fragile, the glass keeps the drink fresher and preserves the temperature better than porcelain. According to baristas, glass mugs are more elegant and sophisticated for those coffee beverages with a special coloration or with a less condensed body. Cold brewed and Irish coffee are served in glass mugs.

However, there is a coffee beverage that needs a special mug. For example, it's traditional to drink the Mexican's carajillo in clay jars. Also, in Greece, their classic frappe is served in special jars that looks like a cornucopia.

Have you chosen your favorite mug yet? Although the material is important; comfort and practicality are also significant factors. Everyone who works at Coffland Corp has a personalized cup. Find your own and try our products!
The mug depends on the thickness and color of the beverage.

Meet the Robots behind Your Coffee Cup

Coffee robots are good kitchen helpers, but also possible replacements of baristas and producers.
It's not a secret to anyone that technology has encompassed a large number of jobs that were previously done by humans. This isn't bad, at least not directly. Technology has also helped us in areas such as medicine, communications, and business management.

The science of coffee has reinvented the profile of your drink, enhancing its flavor, quality, and aroma. But for producers, this is not enough! In China and Japan, some technicians have developed robots capable of preparing and serving coffee. Do you think that's impossible? See it for yourself!

Nescafé automatic
If you're in a hurry because you're late for work but you need a well-done coffee, there are small Nescafé beverage vending machines around the world. With just an iron coin and a plastic cup, when you press a button you will get a delicious mocha, a marvelous cappuccino vanilla or a strong espresso.

Japanese robot-o
Several restaurants in Japan have specially designed and programmed robots for brewing coffee. While they're not better looking than a handsome barista, these robots serve hot cups with a perfect balance of flavor, thickness, and aroma.

Although this technology has progressed a lot, customers prefer a human barista, as the orders of robots are too specific and there is no such "surprise factor" that a little more milk or sugar encourages the palates.

Coffee X
This restaurant in Hong Kong deserves a special mention. Customers can download a special application for the site and order their drinks as desired. The application also allows you to book tables and coordinate the time of the order, in case the customer is still working in your office. Once the customer shows the receipt from his cell phone, the barista robot will deliver your order and without waiting!

Also, if you wish, the barista robot can deliver your order to your table by reading the coordinates of your cell phone. Isn't that awesome?

Would you try coffee made by a machine? Here at Coffland Corp, we celebrate the technological breakthroughs as long as they allow us to enjoy a yummy cup of coffee. Show us on our social media accounts if there is a robot or coffee machine in your city and tell us about your experience!
These robots take coffee technology a step further.

5 Historical Famous Coffee Lovers

Discover the secrets of these classic celebrities who were addicted to coffee.
There is no doubt that coffee has been a fundamental drink in our lives. History proves it: since we discovered its taste and aroma, we can't remove our lips from the cup!

That's why here at Coffland Corp, we will tell you about the most famous coffee lovers in history. Turn on your espresso machine and follow the example of these figures. But watch out! Most of them had a severe addiction to our favorite beverage. We hope you don't get it wrong and you know how to control your coffee love.

Johann Sebastian Bach
In case you don't know him, this knight from the 17th century was a composer, conductor and music scholar. He composed great works that are now part of the classical repertoire, but at that time it was scandalous and against the currents.

In 1732, he composed the Cantata del Café, a musical piece inspired by his love of coffee. The baroque orchestras of the time didn't want to interpret it because it seemed vulgar (in those days, coffee was a beverage that had been established only in the palates of the younger generations).

Immanuel Kant
He was an important philosopher in the Age of Enlightenment in Western culture. However, one of his most famous metaphors relates coffee to friendship. To him, the best company was a delicious hot cup, instead of cold friends who stab you in the back.

Voltaire
This French philosopher was a full-time writer. His reflections made him very famous, but he also went down in history as one of the greatest coffee addicts of all time.

It is said that he could drink up to 40 cups a day, which is equivalent to what we drink in 15 days! Although it seems an impossible amount, no one has been able to verify the exact number.

Honore de Balzac
Balzac was a 19th-century writer with a great addition to coffee. His almost endless work was written in unequal periods of time. Balzac got up at 1 am and worked for up to 15 hours straight, drinking only coffee.

His working hours could leave him exhausted, so he drank more coffee to stay awake. It is said that he drank up to 50 cups while working and that after a "labor orgy" he ate the whole coffee beans, just because they were delicious and replaced his daily food.

Marcel Proust
In search of lost time is the masterpiece of the writer Marcel Proust, who devoted himself in body and soul to his narrative. Although he didn't get to eat coffee beans like Balzac, he was also known for his unusual coffee intake.

At the time of writing, he only fed on latte and croissants for several days, even weeks. For him, the body didn't need incentives, but the soul did, and coffee was an excellent source of inspiration.

Did you ever imagine that these general culture celebrities were coffee lovers? At Coffland Corp., we don't know if any of our clients will become a famous literary, philosopher or musical composer, but we are sure that the quality of our products makes the Muses come. Don't run out of coffee!
Drinking coffee is as historic as these famous people.
