Your cup of coffee can make a difference in your drink. |
Whenever you like drinking coffee, the experience is not always the same. Two espressos aren't the same drink even if they're served at the same time. But have you ever wonder why? What's that extra factor that we are missing?
Most of you won't believe it, but the type of mug you choose makes a difference! Here at Coffland Corp, we made an experiment by drinking coffee on the most common mugs that we found in our office and general market. The results will blow your mind! Wanna know more? Just keep reading.
Coffee mugs: you are what you choose
Coffee is a versatile drink that adapts itself to the environment. For example, if you pack the beans inappropriately, its natural flavor will be reduced. So, while you're serving, the recipient will also influence the tastiness of your beverage.
According to our barista and tasters, porcelain is the best material for coffee, because it helps to preserve the aroma and the taste, longer than any other. Other cups made of cardboard, clay, or plastic, generate aromas and, thereby, it creates a loss of the natural properties of the drink.
Also, porcelain mugs are recommended for coffee beverages with cream or with more condensed bodies like espresso, cappuccino or mocha.
Another type of mug that is very popular is the one made of glass. Even though it's more fragile, the glass keeps the drink fresher and preserves the temperature better than porcelain. According to baristas, glass mugs are more elegant and sophisticated for those coffee beverages with a special coloration or with a less condensed body. Cold brewed and Irish coffee are served in glass mugs.
However, there is a coffee beverage that needs a special mug. For example, it's traditional to drink the Mexican's carajillo in clay jars. Also, in Greece, their classic frappe is served in special jars that looks like a cornucopia.
Have you chosen your favorite mug yet? Although the material is important; comfort and practicality are also significant factors. Everyone who works at Coffland Corp has a personalized cup. Find your own and try our products!
The mug depends on the thickness and color of the beverage. |
