That's how spooky stories begin, but at this shop, ghosts and people drink in the same cups. |
A ghost story is a great way to improve spookiness in a dark, rusty night. Probably most of you think that these type of stories are only to scare little kids and prevent them from approaching the kitchen at night, sneaking out to eat.
Taking advantage of Halloween, we will introduce you a real-life story of a coffee shop haunted by supernatural stuff. If you don't believe in us, go and visit The coffee shop at Caldwell County, near to San Antonio.
An espresso that will make you tremble!
The coffee shop opened in 2005 by a happily married couple who owned an old building at Davis Street. After her husband died, Miss Ehrig led her business as nothing happened. It was their dream, that's why she took over the entire shop.
Weeks after the opening, she stayed a night to clean the espresso machine and make some numbers in the cash box. She was alone, but she lived near, so her plan was finishing her job and then go home.
But after she started to count the cash, some noises disturbed her. She thought that it was some rats or something, that’s why she didn't feel unsafe. After minutes, Ehrig went to the espresso machine, alone in the dark. She found nothing, but the noises had stopped. Ehrig went back to the cash box as nothing happened and the weird sounds started again. She wasn't afraid, so she went back to the espresso machine to her desk continuously, until dawn. She saw nothing.
Weeks after, her son came back to her crying nervously because he saw all the dishes floating around like moved by invisible hands. Ehrig started to worry about her place, so she called a priest and a professional paranormal buster. They didn't find something abnormal, but Ehrig wasn't satisfied.
Since then, rumors about ghost activity in The coffee shop were spread around Caldwell County. Although she believes her husband is the one protecting the place, it makes her wonder if it's a good or an evil presence around the barista workshop and the tables.
Customers said that you strange sensations while you’re in the coffee shop. Those sensitive to paranormal activity considers these ghostly auras to be as old as the village. They attribute them to the souls who still live in Ehrig old building.
Today, the mystery of The coffee shop is still open. What do you think? Would you go to Caldwell County to meet Ehrig and her ghostly shop? Coffland Corp is not a ghostbuster company, but surely we would be glad to share your thoughts on our blog or our social media accounts!
