Creative Ideas for Your Coffee Place

Opening your coffee shop isn't easy at all.

Are you thinking of opening your own coffee shop? If your answer is yes, we’re here to provide you with some ideas to make your dream come true. Most coffee lovers want to open their own coffee place. It doesn’t matter the reason. You have to do it. It could be because you want to innovate with a new style or it could even be because you want to have your escape plan.

The most important part, besides the cup of joe, is obviously the decoration of the place. That’s the key to get into your clients. If your decoration is good enough, you can make your clients feel safe and comfortable in your shop. That’s the real thing!

Tips for your coffee shop

A big tip we can give to you is to make a research on all coffee shops in town. Make a field investigation so you can have an idea of what the people might want at the moment for a café.

After you do it, you can take some ideas from those others cafés and develop a plan to upgrade your store. We highly recommend taking note of everything and discussing it with your friends or family.

Check some DIY tutorials on the internet. These times are all about doing it yourself and using rustic but minimalist decorations, so it would be a great idea of where to start.

Look for nice and fancy cups on the internet, so you will have another thing to make your clients identify your shop at first sight on social media.

Chalkboards are back in town! You can make your announces with these magical blackboards. The best part of it is that they’re reusable! You will be eco-friendly and update your board at any time you like.

Create your coffee ambiance with something characteristic. It may be some local artist artwork or a themed decoration. For example, if you want your coffee shop to being related to dogs, you can put some dog-related decorations. Or if you want it to be associated with any writer, put references to their work. I can guarantee it will blow your clients’ minds. If they share your taste, it will make them talk a lot about your place.

Ensure a beautiful presentation on every plate you serve. It doesn’t matter if it’s just a cup of espresso or if it’s a wonderful cake to serve with the beverage, the presentation is important, and it’s even more critical these times where everyone likes to share their meals and drinks on their social media accounts. These pics of your café that your clients share are the best publicity you can get because it’s a genuine testimony of your products.

We hope these tips were a big help for you while you’re thinking about the decoration of your café. We want you to get the best place to provide services to your clients. Coffland Corp always gives you the best advice and products for your business!

Don't overcharge the space. This way, you can generate comfort to your clients.

Like a Barista: the Real Macchiato Technique at Home

If you want to learn the barista's technique of making macchiato...

Don’t you love the macchiato presentation and the way it tastes? We think it’s wonderful and that’s why we’re going to give you something special. Today you’re going to discover the secret your barista has been hiding for a long time! What do you think about it?

The secret they have been keeping from you is simpler than you might though. For that reason, we’re going to give you the key to coffee wisdom. That way, you can do it yourself at home and feel like a real barista.

What’s the secret they have kept from us?

First of all, let’s talk about something important about macchiato coffee: there are two types of them.

The first and classic one is the espresso macchiato made with milk foam (yes, that’s the real secret behind that cute foam on your espresso). The second and the most popular type, thanks to the big franchises, is the latte macchiato. This one is made in layers, just like the good-looking mochaccino.

Now that you know the first detail about this wonderful variation of coffee combinations, you must know a fantastic technique you should use to feel like a real barista.

Latte macchiato

Ingredients:

- Milk.
- Espresso shots or one espresso extraction.
- Sugar.

First things first. You must steam your milk with the sugar. You’re going to pour it all into your glass or cup. After that, start applying carefully and slowly the espresso extraction. You’ll see the how coffee separates itself from the milk and the milk foam.

Espresso Macchiato:

Ingredients:

- Espresso.
- Milk foam.

This one will be a piece of cake for you to make. You’ll only need to put your espresso in your cup and, with a long spoon, take some of the milk foam from the steamed milk and put it over your espresso coffee. That’s all! An easy and classy option for you.

Caramel Macchiato:

This one is an extra for you to have and be the ultimate self-taught barista of your social circle.

Ingredients:

- Milk.
- Caramel syrup.
- Double espresso extraction.

To start, put some caramel syrup in the bottom of your mug or glass. Then, you need to steam the milk again with the sugar and pour the milk into the recipient you’re using. Right after that, you must put the double espresso extraction into your glass carefully, watching that the beverage is not fusing at all with the milk. When you finish there, you need to pour some more of caramel syrup over the milk foam to decorate it.

What do you think now about the macchiato? They seem yummy and easy to prepare, isn’t it? Now you got those amazing tricks to try at home, we’re going to give you some last tips.

If you don’t have an espresso machine with a steam wand, don’t worry! You don’t need it at all. You’ll only need a hand blender and some patience to make the milk to get a foam consistency good enough for a macchiato.

As always, you can also ask for any topic to talk about through our social media. Also, if you want to show us your creations, you can tag us! Coffland Corp is a big family that’s always here to help you on your path of coffee.
Some people may think it's hard, but in fact, it's the simplest technique.

Coffee Art: the Variations of Latte Coffee

Learn more about the variations of the latte coffee.

Probably you have heard about the term “latte art” as a reference of the drawings made into the coffee with the milk. But did you know latte art can be even more than that? The differences between its types are amazing!

You can get different latte coffees depending on your mood at the moment. That’s the most fantastic part of it. When you finish reading this, you may want to try all of them. Check them all! I can promise you, all these variations are delicious, and you need to try every single one of them.

Differences between them

Let’s start with the heart of the latte coffee: milk. Depending on your diet or preferences, you can always choose if you want non-fat milk, vegetable milk, whole or lactose-free. That’s the most important part of it.

We have two significant categories with different characteristics:

Flavored lattes

That's how we call coffee mixed with milk and syrup, and it has so many tasty alternatives for each preference.

Vanilla latte:

This one is the most common type of the beverage. You can hear every single evil or diva character in movies asking their assistants to bring one vanilla latte for them. Its preparation only requires adding some vanilla extract to a regular latte.

Hazelnut:

It’s less frequent but it isn’t less delicious. For this, you must put the hazelnut syrup into the milk you’re going to steam. After that, pour it into your cup of coffee as you would do with a regular one.

Peppermint:

This one is kind of strange for some people, but we find it delicious. Its preparation is just like the hazelnut one, steaming the milk with peppermint syrup.

Amaretto:

Another delicious combination for you to try. It makes a strong but sweet flavor to the latte. The preparation is the same for this one too, just add some Amaretto.

Butter rum:

You’ll have the same preparation from the last lattes so it’s not that difficult to do. Remember to add some butter rum to the milk you’re going to steam.

English toffee:

This one is especially delicious. The taste that the English toffee syrup gives to the beverage is terrific.

Festive lattes

Now that the flavored lattes part has ended let’s talk a little bit about the festive lattes. Some of you may be looking forward to drinking a pumpkin spice latte during the fall period. These kinds of lattes are used to be served with a special presentation for their clients in some coffee shops.

Pumpkin spice latte:

Ingredients:

Milk.
2 tbs. of pumpkin puree.
Sugar.
Pumpkin spice pie.
Vanilla extract.
15 seconds espresso extraction.
Whipped cream.

You should put all the ingredients but the coffee in a blender first. Just after that, you can steam the milk with the ingredients and then put it into your coffee mug. To finish this recipe, you must pour the whipped cream, and that’s it! Now you have the secret recipe of the pumpkin spice.

Now that you have these recipes, will you try them at home? We hope you try them and discover the magic of latte coffee. Don’t forget to tag us into your post in your social media accounts! Coffland Corp is always looking forward to knowing new talents and recipes.
Differencing the latte variations will help you.

What do you need to make your own coffee to go?

  1. The fastest way to make coffee is with an espresso machine. If you have one at home or you’re thinking about buying one, you have made the best decision. Making it with this method will take you only one minute. So, what are you waiting for?
  2. Buy your to-go coffee mug. You can find plenty of options for beautiful mugs to take to your work. You can even customize it.
  3. If you don’t own an espresso machine, don’t worry. Here, you have another quick way to prepare your drink. Some coffee machines have timers and can prepare the beverage when you need it. If your machine has one, it might be a great idea to learn how to make it work. When you need your cup of joe, you can be sure it will be ready on time!

  5. When you wake up in the morning to prepare your breakfast, remember to gather every implement and ingredient you’re going to use out before starting, so you can have a quick start.
  6. To make the best beverage, it’s better to buy the beans and grind them at home. This way you can preserve its taste and aroma.
  7. If you boil the water to make the drink, let it chill for a bit so that it won’t burn your extraction.
  8. If you like cold-brewed coffee for your mornings, try the Japanese method. We’ve already talked about it in a previous post ;).
  9. This isn’t a real tip, but when you make your beverage at home every day, you save money and save the planet. Think about your future!
  10. If you can find a mug that keeps the drink heat, it would be a great idea to buy it, so your coffee to go doesn’t get cold.

Coconut coffee smoothie

Your ingredients will be:

Coconut milk (cold).
Coconut water (cold).
A frozen banana.
Coffee ice cubes (or you can use regular ice cubes and then put them on the espresso).

The steps are easy to follow. The first one is to make your espresso and put it in the fridge (in case you want to use the coffee ice cubes method). If you prefer to use the espresso by itself, then you’re going to pour the espresso. After it, you'll add the coconut milk and coconut water. Finally, add the frozen banana and the ice cubes. If you want it to be sweeter, you can pour some sugar. Blend it and serve it.

Chunky Monkey smoothie

This one might be the god of smoothies. Your ingredients will be:

¾ cup of milk (depending on your preference, you can use almond milk or regular milk).
½ cup of cold coffee.
One frozen banana.
Cocoa powder.
Peanut butter.

To start with this delicious smoothie, you should blend first the four ingredients. Then, you’re going to add the peanut butter and wait until it gets smooth.

Caramel Macchiato

This is a simple but delicious three-ingredient smoothie. The ingredients you’ll need are:

One cup of milk.
One cup of coffee ice cubes.
Two dates.

You’ll only need to add all those ingredients to the blender and blend them out. If you want to, you can add some sugar to make it sweeter.

Banana pancake smoothie

½ cup of milk.
2 tbsp. of oats.
Cinnamon.
½ cup of cold coffee or coffee ice cubes.
One frozen banana.

To make this delicious smoothie, you’ll only need to put your milk, oats, cinnamon, and coffee into your blender. Then, you’re going to add the banana and blend until it gets smooth. Like I said with the last recipe, if you want to, you can add some sugar to it.
